PLA Eastern Theater Command Launches “Strait Thunder-2025A” Exercises in Middle and Southern Areas of Taiwan Strait

東部戰(zhàn)區(qū)新聞發(fā)言人施毅陸軍大校表示，4月2日，中國(guó)人民解放軍東部戰(zhàn)區(qū)位臺(tái)灣海峽中部、南部相關(guān)海域組織“海峽雷霆-2025A”演練，重點(diǎn)實(shí)施查證識(shí)別、警告驅(qū)離、攔截扣押等科目，檢驗(yàn)部隊(duì)區(qū)域管控、聯(lián)合封控、精打擊要能力。

On April 2, the PLA Eastern Theater Command conducted military exercises code-named “Strait Thunder-2025A” in the middle and southern areas of the Taiwan Strait, according to Senior Colonel Shi Yi, spokesperson of the Eastern Theater Command. The exercises focus on subjects of identification and verification, warning and expulsion, and interception and detention so as to test the troops’ capabilities of area regulation and control, joint blockade and control, and precision strikes on key targets.
